Asia’s Art Diversity on Show

On of the most eagerly anticipated art events in Hong Kong’s calendar is Art Basel – the 2023 show drew 86,000 visitors over five days. The next edition takes place in late March at the HKCEC, when visitors will again receive an in-depth overview of Asia-Pacific's astonishing diversity in art, as well as global artistic perspectives through modern and contemporary works. The show, as previously, is divided into several sectors, each with its own specific focus, from monumental works to historical voices from the Asia-Pacific region.

Leading modern and contemporary galleries are featured in the main sector. Insights encompasses curated works from 1900 to the present in the sector dedicated to artists from Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. The Discoveries section invites exploration of new work created specifically for the show by emerging artists. Kabinett features themed solo presentations by modern and contemporary artists, and Encounters presents large-scale, spectacular projects. The Conversations programme features dialogues between prominent members of the international artworld.
