Sustainability Updates BEAM Plus Highlights Building Sustainability HKCEC has achieved Final Platinum rating under BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 2.0 Comprehensive Scheme. In the Pink! Every October HML comes together to raise awareness of breast cancer, and this is the 11th year of our collaborative effort with Hong Kong Cancer Fund in support of Pink Revolution. Uniform Environmental Friendliness HML’s commitment to sustainability guides every aspect of operations, from building design to daily operations. Blood Has No Substitute! Under the slogan “Blood has no substitute – Lives can’t wait!”, HML’s annual support of Blood Donation Day continued again this year. Fun & Support for Little Life Warriors Plenty of fun was had at the Jello Cake Workshop, co-organised by HML and Little Life Warrior Society in July. ExhiBit Does Her Bit for Recycling The HKCEC buddy “ExhiBit” and green ambassadors were on hand to promote recycling messages to exhibitors and visitors at the 2025 Hong Kong Book Fair, held in mid-July. Event Highlights Asian Financial Forum (AFF) The 19th edition of AFF featured a new tagline – “Finance Empowering Business” – with the theme of “co-creating new horizons amid an evolving landscape”. 41st Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress (APAO) in conjunction with 37th Annual Scientific Meeting Hong Kong Ophthalmological Symposium Under the theme “Eyes on the Future: Innovating Ophthalmology”, APAO enabled professionals and experts to share cutting-edge research and explore the latest trends in eyecare. Consensus Hong Kong by CoinDesk Consensus Hong Kong 2026 brought together 11,000 influential voices from across digital finance and emerging technologies, building on the success of its inaugural event the previous year. Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK Festival 2025 Hong Kong FinTech Week and StartmeupHK Festival joined forces in November for a special 10th anniversary, creating a bigger, bolder platform for innovation, investment and growth. The International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 Hong Kong Conference The International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (ISTIF) of the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 Hong Kong Conference was held for the first time in Hong Kong in early June and chose the HKCEC as its venue. Event Preview 17th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ACOMS 2026) Hong Kong has played a pivotal role in the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery, making it a fitting location for the 17th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery gathering. LEAP East LEAP – a major tech event in Saudia Arabia – is expanding its reach with the launch of LEAP East, taking place at the HKCEC in early July. ART BASEL HONG KONG 2026 Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 returns in late March, celebrating the city’s thriving art ecosystem and reaffirming its role as the premier art fair in Asia.
