Recurring & Thriving – The 27th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong Hong Kong’s ultimate pop culture event, the 27th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong, hit historic scale this year, taking over 38,617 m² across multiple halls. HML Updates ‘Amazing’ Team Wins Art Basel Praise Over 91,500 visitors to the HKCEC, strong sales across all market segments, creating a buzz all around town. Art Basel Hong Kong was where art, culture and gastronomy came together. Wagging a Tail to Safety and Efficiency Smart technology is increasingly being used at the HKCEC to enhance safety and boost efficiency – and HML’s newest acquisition is a “robot dog”. Halal-friendly Food Vending Machine Deliver Tasty Snacks The Hong Kong government is actively promoting Muslim-friendly business activities and tourism – and in support of this initiative, HML is introducing halal-friendly food vending machines. New Visitor Service Centre The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) opens a new Visitor Service Centre at the HKCEC on 11 Feb 2026, marking the first visitor service centre dedicated to MICE visitors at a major convention and exhibition venue. Latest Upgrades Enhance the HKCEC Experience HML is committed to continuous investment to ensure that the HKCEC maintains its status as a world-class venue, staying abreast of customers’ needs, industry trends and technology advancement. Sustainability Updates Sustainable Excellence – The 36th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, the 9th HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo, and the 6th HKTDC World of Snacks The popular summer showcase — the combined three shows at 36th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair — welcomed nearly 990,000 visits. Inclusive Art – with Coffee HML embraces an inclusive society – and as part of this supportive strategy we display artworks created by artists with disabilities from the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. Old Waste into New Carpets HML recently collaborated with a recycling supplier which collected 4,000 kg of old uniforms – after recycling and processing, they were transformed into environmentally friendly carpets. Happy & Healthy Seasonal Greetings! HML volunteers pulled out all the stops for the Chinese New Year Charity Lunch, held at the end of January and attended by around 200 elderly beneficiaries, who thoroughly enjoyed the traditional treats and activities. Spreading the Love with Every Bite Chinese New Year is a season of blessing, generosity, and care — and at HML, we believe in extending that spirit to the community, especially to those in need. Tea & Smiles There were smiles aplenty at the Morning Tea Session for Elders co-organised by HML and St James’ Settlement, a provider of social welfare services, and held at the HKCEC in February. Asian Financial Forum (AFF) The 19th edition of AFF featured a new tagline – “Finance Empowering Business” – with the theme of “co-creating new horizons amid an evolving landscape”. 41st Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress (APAO) in conjunction with 37th Annual Scientific Meeting Hong Kong Ophthalmological Symposium Under the theme “Eyes on the Future: Innovating Ophthalmology”, APAO enabled professionals and experts to share cutting-edge research and explore the latest trends in eyecare. Consensus Hong Kong by CoinDesk Consensus Hong Kong 2026 brought together 11,000 influential voices from across digital finance and emerging technologies, building on the success of its inaugural event the previous year. The International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 Hong Kong Conference The International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (ISTIF) of the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 Hong Kong Conference was held for the first time in Hong Kong in early June and chose the HKCEC as its venue. Event Preview Cosmoprof Asia 2026 Discover the future of beauty as Cosmoprof Asia, the region’s premier B2B beauty trade event, returns to HKCEC for its 29th edition from 11 to 13 November 2026. Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference 2026 During the Hong Kong Maritime Week 2026, the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) and the World Maritime Merchants Forum will return to HKCEC from 16 to 17 November 2026. Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK 2026 Centred on the theme “Fintech Nexus: Bridging the World, Building the Future”, Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK returns to HKCEC from 2 to 3 November 2026. 17th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ACOMS 2026) Hong Kong has played a pivotal role in the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery, making it a fitting location for the 17th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery gathering. LEAP East LEAP – a major tech event in Saudia Arabia – is expanding its reach with the launch of LEAP East, taking place at the HKCEC in early July. ART BASEL HONG KONG 2026 Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 returns in late March, celebrating the city’s thriving art ecosystem and reaffirming its role as the premier art fair in Asia.
