HKCEC's 36th Anniversary Cocktail Reception (video only)

My heartfelt thanks go to you, our loyal customers and close business partners, for sharing with us the joy of the HKCEC 36th anniversary celebration on 14 November. We’re truly happy that over 350 guests and business partners were able to join us.

We chose the theme of “Where the World Meets” to celebrate the relationships that have been built at the HKCEC over the past decades. Facilitating face-to-face interactions for all exhibitors, buyers and visitors from all over the world was our objective from day one, and I’m always delighted when I meet clients, business leaders and partners who tell me how much they prefer physical events. They are the most effective platform for doing business – even in the tech world.

I’m thrilled to report that in the last fiscal year (July 2023 to June 2024), a total of 823 physical events were held at the HKCEC, attracting an attendance of over 7.3 million. I feel proud that the HKCEC has continued to be the preferred venue for international organisers staging world-class exhibitions and conferences in Hong Kong. 

In another great accomplishment, HML has successfully achieved the recertification of ISO20121:2024 Event Sustainability Management System certificate.  The 2024 update enriches the standard with a stronger emphasis on social legacies, inclusivity, and the diverse means of demonstrating compliance, fostering a more comprehensive and accessible approach to sustainable event management. Thank you for your trust and support for achieving this significant milestone. And thanks to my wonderful team for their wholehearted devotion – they all play a part in our success.
