Exclusive Reception Celebrates UFI Centenary

Exclusive Reception Celebrates UFI Centenary (video only)

UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, celebrated its centenary in November, while concurrently staging its 92nd Global Congress in Hong Kong. HML – a staunch supporter of UFI and a key player in the global exhibition industry – was proud to host an exclusive dinner reception to celebrate the significant milestone, along with leaders of the global exhibition industry on 21 November.

This is a milestone celebration for one hundred years of connecting people, industries, and ideas across borders. Hong Kong and the HKCEC have been a proud part of that history for nearly a quarter of those hundred years. In fact, UFI hosted the 67th annual congress at the HKCEC, its first time in Hong Kong, 25 years ago in 2000.

HML is honoured to have contributed two of UFI’s past presidents, Mr Cliff Wallace and Ms Monica Lee-Müller, former and current HML managing directors respectively.

The dinner reception was attended by over 100 guests, including present and incoming UFI presidents, members of the UFI board of directors, global exhibition leaders and CEOs of international exhibition companies. It was a special occasion to honour the legacy and UFI leadership and for all invited guests to enjoy a wonderful evening. Excellent feedback on the food quality and services has been received from the guests. During their stay in Hong Kong, HML organised exclusive site tours of HKCEC, showcasing its first-class venues and facilities to the UFI Congress delegates and dinner reception guests.

UFI represents trade fair organisers, exhibition venue operators, major national and international exhibition associations, and selected exhibition industry partners.  It currently has 887 member organisations in 86 countries and regions around the world.
