Sustainability Certification Moves with the Times


A substantial milestone in HKCEC’s sustainability efforts has been achieved with the successful recertification of ISO20121:2024 Event Sustainability Management System certificate. The 2024 update enriches the standard with a stronger emphasis on social legacies, inclusivity and the diverse means of demonstrating compliance, fostering a more comprehensive and accessible approach to sustainable event management.

HML has been setting the pace in sustainability efforts since November 2015, when it became the first organisation in Hong Kong to receive the three-year recognition for ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management System certificate. In 2024, ISO 20121 evolved in its latest version and published ISO 20121:2024. HML is committed to inspiring leadership in event sustainability management with reference to the latest international standard ISO 20121:2024 and has successfully achieved recertification in 2024.
