Last year, HML’s recycling programme was extended to cover plastic wrapping film, which is used extensively for transportation and delivery of exhibits. The target is to collect wrap waste from 70% of exhibitions for recycling by the end of June.

HML believes it is important to “show the way” to stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, business partners and visitors. And as a leader in the collection of plastic wrap, HML motivates event organisers and visitors to recycle waste. Public as well as back-of-house areas are equipped with recycle bins for paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and metal. Large recycling “cages” are also available during exhibition move in and out periods. The recycling programme was extended to cover plastic wrapping film in 2022, with Event Managers explaining to exhibition organisers and contractors about this initiative and arranging the cages for recycling of plastic wrap.
