Rice Boy Recognition
Food Angel has awarded its Rice Boy Trophy to HML with deep gratitude for the generous support for its food rescue and food assistance programme. Food waste is a major problem globally, and since 2011 HML has been supporting Food Angel’s Food Rescue programme by proactively inviting banquet organisers to donate unconsumed food from their events to the charity.
The donated food is carefully handed by HML chefs, prepared as nutritious hot meals and redistributed to the underprivileged community in Hong Kong by Food Angel. The charity was launched in 2011 with the mission of “Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love”.
